Recomposed Fractures
MATERIALS
GLASS / PÂTE DE VERRE
DESCRIPTION
Thin blown glass bubbles, deliberately broken into amber, green, and blue shards, then recomposed and re-fused using the pâte de verre technique into a flat, circular plate. The original fractures aren't polished away but left visible in negative within the final material.
Held up to the light, each fracture acts as its own colour filter, throwing its own tint rather than blending into one uniform colour.
